Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor had made their Bollywood debut together with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Saawariya' in 2007. Soon, rumours were afloat about their romantic linkups and dates. Sonam had even spoken about how they knew each other since they were kids and shared a good relationship. However, it seems their relationship had ended on a sour note as Sonam had questioned if Ranbir can be called a 'great boyfriend' on the show Koffee With Karan.

She had said, "Ranbir is a great friend. But I don't know if he's a great boyfriend. Honestly speaking. He's a really nice guy, he's got family values, he's really respectful. I've known Ranbir all my life but as a boyfriend, I don't know she did a great job at hanging on to him for so long."

Before Ranbir Kapoor entered the starry world of Bollywood, he reportedly had a fling with Imran Khan's ex-wife Avantika Malik. Reports suggest that Ranbir used to crush on the actress in the 90s. However, Avantika began dating actor Imran Khan later and the rest is history.

Ranbir and Deepika found love in each other on the sets of their 2008 film 'Bachna Ae Haseeno'. Their chemistry on-screen was truly palpable and fans rooted for the couple in real life as well. They were often spotted together and seemed to have a stable relationship with Deepika even getting his initials tattooed on her neck. 

Things went south when reports emerged of Ranbir Kapoor cheating on the actress. Rumours have often stated that Ranbir cheated on her with Katrina, however, this hasn't been confirmed. Nonetheless, the duo broke up but remained cordial in their professional relationship.

Nargis Fakri who was new to Bollywood during her debut in 'Rockstar' found a friend in her co-star, Ranbir Kapoor. The two had become extremely close during the filming of the movie. Their bond was the talk of the town and fans even suspected a new romance bubbling between the two.

However, it appears their equation didn't remain strong over time. Nargis, in an interview with Filmfare, had said, "I don't think it's possible to keep in touch with people after your movie is over. See, you have your own set of friends. It's not like he was my childhood friend, who I'd run to for everything. But when I first came here, he was a good friend. He helped me adjust. Imtiaz (Ali) did too. But now they've gone, they're busy with their lives as I am with mine."

Ranbir and Katrina had a 6-year-long relationship together which came to a sad end. Sparks flew for the duo when they worked together on the sets of 'Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani' in 2009. Theirs was an on and off relationship and fans couldn't tell when they were together or broken up. 

The couple had sent their fans in a tizzy when they were papped holidaying in Ibiza, Spain. However, they eventually broke up and while Katrina Kaif has been single since their breakup, Ranbir has found love in Alia Bhatt.

Ranbir is dating Alia Bhatt at the moment and the two have been together for quite a while now. They made their first public appearance at Sonam Kapoor's wedding in 2018. Later the actor even spoke about his relationship with Alia in an interview with GQ.

He said, "It’s really new right now, and I don’t want to overspeak. It needs time to breathe and it needs space. As an actor, as a person, Alia is – what’s the right word? – flowing right now. When I see her work, when I see her act, even in life, what she gives is something that I’m aspiring to for myself. It’s new for us, so let it cook a bit."
