Photo Gallery: Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi offers prayers at Padmavathi temple in Tiruchanur a day before retirement

Chief Justice of India Justice Ranjan Gogoi and his wife Rupanjali Gogoi on Saturday offered prayers at Padmavathi Temple in Tiruchanur. Chief Justice Gogoi is to retire from office on Sunday (November 17). 

After offering prayers at Padmavathi temple, the couple left for Tirumala to seek blessing of Lord Venkateswara. They went to Tiruchanur soon after landing at Renigunta Airport, Tirupati. 

Tight security arrangements were put in place in the areas in view of Chief Justice Gogoi's arrival. 

After darshan at Padmavathi Temple, Chief Justice Gogoi and his wife went to Tirumala hills by road.

The Chief Justice will retire on November 17. He took office in October 2018. On his last working day, he visited Raj Ghat to pay his respects to Mahatma Gandhi. After taking oath of office, he had also visited the memorial. 

Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi was accorded a farewell on his last working day in the apex court. His successor S A Bobde and other judges were present at the function.
