India on Thursday celebrated its 73rd Independence Day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation from the Red Fort in New Delhi. People across the nation celebrated Independence Day with full fervour as it is the most significant day in Indian history. Massive security arrangements were made at various places to ensure celebrations happen smoothly.

After PM Modi concluded his Independence Day speech, he met children gathered at the Red Fort to take part in the celebrations.
