WOW! Delhi To Bihar In Just 11.35 Hours Via Vande Bharat Express: Check Route, Time, Fare
Indian Railways' Diwali, Chhath Puja Gift: Festivities are here and after Dussehra, people are looking to celebrate Diwali, Chhath, Bhai Dooj and Govardhan puja with their families. It's known that during the Diwali and Chhath puja, the demand for train tickets between Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal skyrockets regularly. To cater to the festive rush, the Indian Railways has introduced a new Special Vande Bharat Express between Delhi and Patna via Uttar Pradesh. The train will run from October 30 onwards and the ticket booking has already commenced.
Longest Vande Bharat

Notably, this is the longest Vande Bharat Express route operational as of now. The New Delhi-Patna Vande Bharat will cover a distance of 1,000km as per the IRCTC ticket booking website. Earlier, the longest distance covered by Vande Bharat Express was 771 kilometres between Delhi to Varanasi.
Faster Than Rajdhani
The New Delhi-Patna Special Vande Bharat Express will complete its journey in just 11.35 hours, as per the IRCTC website. The Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express that passes through the Patalipura junction takes 11.55 hours while the New Delhi-Rajendra Nagar (Patna) Tejas Rajdhani takes 11.30 hours.
Running Days, Time
The Vande Bharat Special runs every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from New Delhi and every Monday, Thursday and Saturday from Patna to New Delhi. From New Delhi, the train departs at 8.25 AM and reaches Patna at 8 PM while from Patna, the train departs at 07:30 in the morning and reaches New Delhi at 7 in the evening.
Vande Bharat Special Fare
The New Delhi-Patna Vande Bharat Special train has a chair car seating arrangement and not the sleeper class. The AC Chair car ticket costs Rs 2,575 per person while the Executive Chair Car ticket costs Rs 4,655 per person.
Vande Bharat Special Stations
The special Vande Bharat train will start from New Delhi and will stop at Kanpur Central, Prayagraj Junction, Deendayal Upadhyaya Junction, Buxar, and Ara Junction before reaching Patna Junction.
Vande Bharat Sleeper
Earlier, it was reported that the newly built Vande Bharat Sleeper train would be introduced between Delhi to Patna. However, the date of the introduction of the Vande Bharat sleeper on the route is not yet confirmed.
Shatabdi Alternative
Vande Bharat trains are designed to replace the older Shatabdi services, offering faster and more efficient travel options. The upcoming introduction of sleeper coaches will further improve the experience, providing greater comfort for long-distance travelers.
