Not many know that this amazingly-talent tennis player is a Russian by birth. But she changed her nationality after the Russia-Ukraine war. The Wimbledon had closed the doors for players from Russia. It was then that she decided to change her nationality and now represents Kazakhstan. 

Elena Rybakina has won the Wimbledon, she did it last year. Apart from that, she reached two junior Grand Slam semifinals and won a Grade A title at the Trofeo Bonfiglio. The Australian Open 2023 will be her second Grand Slam victory if she manages to pull it off. 

Elena Rybakina won her first Grand Slam at Wimbledon. She had beaten Ons Jabeur 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 in the final to win the championship. Rybakina is now aiming at her second Grand Slam title and her immediate threat is a brilliant Swiatek who will be tough to overcome. 

Elena Rybakina celebrated her birthday on June 17. She was born in the year 1999 at Moscow in Russia. She remains one of the best young talents in world tennis and could be someone who finishes with many titles eventually. (Image source: Instagram)
