IPL 2024: From Virat Kohli's Orange Cap To Harshal Patel's Purple Cap, Who Won What - In Pics

The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) triumphed in the IPL 2024 final, defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) to secure their third championship. Led by Shreyas Iyer, KKR chased down a modest target with ease.  

Shreyas Iyer’s leadership was pivotal as KKR lifted the trophy for the first time in a decade. His strategic acumen and calm demeanor were key to their success throughout the season.  

Venkatesh Iyer’s unbeaten 52 off 26 balls guided KKR to an eight-wicket victory. His aggressive batting style was instrumental in achieving the target quickly and efficiently.  

Mitchell Starc's exceptional bowling, taking 2 wickets for just 14 runs, restricted SRH to a meager 113. His performance earned him the Player of the Match award in the final.  

Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) Virat Kohli claimed the Orange Cap with 741 runs. His consistent high-scoring innings were a highlight of the tournament.  

Harshal Patel of Punjab Kings (PBKS) won the Purple Cap, taking 24 wickets. His exceptional bowling was a cornerstone of PBKS’s competitive campaign.  

Nitish Kumar Reddy, with 303 runs, was named Emerging Player of the Season. His impressive performances and composure at the crease marked him as a future star.  

Sunil Narine was awarded both the Most Valuable Player and Ultimate Fantasy Player of the Season. His all-around capabilities shone through, making him a critical asset for KKR.  

SRH’s Abhishek Sharma hit the most sixes (42) in IPL 2024. Despite his team’s struggles, his explosive batting was a standout feature of the season.  

The Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad won the Best Pitch and Ground Award. Its outstanding facilities and well-maintained pitch received accolades from players and officials alike.
