ICC World T20: Pakistan legend Javed Miandad asks how did Shahid Afridi find more love in India in just two days?

New Delhi: Former Pakistan legend Jeved Miandad lashed out at national cricket team skipper Shahid Afridi and wanted to know how did the player find more love in India than Pakistan in just two days time.

Shahid Afridi was criticised earlier by Miandad after his 'more love in India' comment. Miandad on Friday posed this question and stated he doesn't agree with Afridi.

Speaking to NDTV, Miandad said, “I want to ask, in just two days, what did he find in India that he hasn't found in Pakistan? Our nation is our mother, my identity comes from my motherland, so I didn't agree with his statement.

Miandad also said he admires India players and that they get respect and love in Pakistan, but voiced his problems over Afridi's comment.

"We also admire Indian players. When they come here (Pakistan), they are loved and respected by everybody. But my problem is with Shahid Afridi's statement that he found more love in India than Pakistan," Miandad said.

Earlier, Pakistan T20I team arrived in India last Saturday after security concerns.

Afridi's 'more love in India' comments drew flak from certain corners and especially from Miandad. Afridi later went on to clarify that it was just a positive message.
