Indian grapplers failed to add any medal to their tally today as all the them lost in their respective bouts in both Freestyle and Greco-Roman categories at the Senior Asian Wrestling Championship in Doha on Saturday.

New Delhi: Indian grapplers failed to add any medal to their tally today as all the them lost in their respective bouts in both Freestyle and Greco-Roman categories at the Senior Asian Wrestling Championship in Doha on Saturday.

In the Greco-Roman category, the only Indian to have reached as far as the repechage round was Krishankant Yadav in 71kg division.

Even though Yadav lost his qualification bout against Iran's Ramin Soltanmorad Taherisartang 0-8, he got an opportunity to fight in the repechage round as his Iranian opponent reached the final.

But the Indian failed to make use of the chance as he lost his repechage bout against Azamat Dumbirov of Kazakhstan 0-5 by 'Fall' and thus could not to enter the bronze medal play-off round.

In other two bouts in the Greco-Roman category today, both the Indians lost in the qualification round itself and bowed out of the competition.

While Manjul Nautiyal went down to Karar Abbas Mkasar Al Bethani of Iraq by 'Fall' verdict 0-4 in 59kg division, Davood AbdeinBzadeh of Iran defeated Ramvir 8-0 in 85kg category.

Meanwhile, in Women's Freestyle 75kg, Eunju Hwang of Korea defeated Anshu Tomar 7-3 in the qualification round.
