Assam: Many get homeless due to floods in Dibrugarh, boat becomes only means of travel

Many villagers are struggling for their existence due to the rising water level of Brahmaputra and Dibru rivers, which every year in monsoon, struggle for rural resettlement. Many people have become homeless due to water entering the houses, after which the local people are very angry with the government.

Flood situation continues to remain grim in Assam, around 3.7 lakh people in 10 districts affected

Officials said that due to floods in Assam, the situation was deteriorating continuously since Saturday (May 30) and more than 3.7 lakh people were affected in 10 districts.
