New Delhi: A teenager from Tamil Nadu was on Monday arrested for allegedly using abusive language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi on social media.

The teen identified as S Thirumurugan reportedly abused the Prime Minister in a private Facebook message.

The arrest came following a complaint filed by a BJP district secretary, K Marimuthu.

The BJP leader submitted screenshots of his conversation with the teen to the police.

Meanwhile, the polytechnic student has been taken into a 15-day judicial custody.
