1-year-old dies as ambulance gets struck in traffic jam for an hour

Bhopal: One and a half-year-old child died after the ambulances carrying her was stuck for over an hour in the traffic jam.

The incident took place in Madhya Pradesh's Damoh town.

A groom's baarat or wedding procession caused massive traffic jam in the town's Ghanta Ghar area.

The incident caused has caused outrage.

“We've taken cognizance of the incident and will take action. We will ensure vehicles and ambulances get a clear way during such processions in the future,” said Satish Chand Saxena, Inspector General of Sagar Range
