Big B to be discharged from hospital tomorrow

Mumbai: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who underwent an abdominal surgery Saturday, is recovering fast and will be discharged from hospital tomorrow, sources said today.

The 69-year-old actor, who has a history of stomach ailments, was operated upon at the Seven Hills Hospital in suburban Andheri though the authorities there remained tight-lipped about the exact nature of Bachchan`s ailment. "He is recovering and will be discharged tomorrow," a source quoting a hospital official said. On February 9, Bachchan had revealed on his blog about the pains he has had, saying he would have to undergo surgery. Bachchan had suffered a near fatal intestinal injury while filming a fight scene in 1982 movie `Coolie`. Last night, he thanked his fans on Twitter for their wishes and prayers. "Back...!! Thank you for your prayers... your love and wishes never fail... indebted for life, one that I shall never be able to pay back. Took almost 5 hrs on the OT, but could feel the concern and wishes of the TwFmXt every minute... you all are incredible... thank you," he had tweeted. "Took long because 2 surgeries had to be done on either side...," he had said. PTI
