My chemotherapy results are spectacular, says cancer-stricken Robin Gibb

London: Robin Gibb, who has been battling with liver cancer, has said that his chemotherapy results are “spectacular” and has credited his recovery to working with his son Robin-John on his first classical piece for Titanic’s 100th anniversary.

The 62-year-old has spoken out to dispel the various false claims that have surfaced since the time he was hospitalised after “being diagnosed with colon cancer, which spread to the liver.” “For more than 18 months, I had lived with an inflammation of the colon; then I was diagnosed with colon cancer, which spread to the liver. I have undergone chemotherapy, however, and the results, to quote my doctor, have been ‘spectacular’. It’s taken a toll but the strange thing is that I’ve never felt seriously ill,” the Daily Express quoted him as saying. “There have been many false claims around, which I’d like to dispel. I am not and have never been at death’s door. Nor do I have a team of alternative doctors, although I’m not averse to healthy remedies. I feel they can go together with conventional medicine. “I do eat health foods and drink herbal teas made for me by Dwina, my wife. I am under the care of Dr Peter Harper,” he said. Gibb has composed his first classical piece working with his son John, 28, for the Titanic disaster’s 100th year anniversary. “My work on Titanic is part of what has spurred me on to good health – as has the chance to work with RJ. It’s been a magical experience,” he added. ANI
