London:London: Kate Winslet, who’s affair with Sir Richard Branson’s nephew – Ned Rocknroll – went public last year, has now moved in with her new man, it has been revealed.
In her first public comment about her relationship with the former husband of Eliza Pearson, the ‘Titanic’ star revealed that she has returned from America permanently, to make a home with Rocknroll.
“I can confirm that Kate has moved back to the UK and that she and Ned Rocknroll are now living together,” the Mirror quoted her spokesperson as saying. The actress, who will be celebrating her 37th birthday next week, has bought a 15th-century house in a hamlet in West Sussex for 2 million pounds with Rocknroll. Two years ago, her lawyer announced that she had separated from Sam Mendes, the Oscar-winning director of American Beauty. The couple had been married for seven years and have a son Joe. In August, Winslet put the New York penthouse that she bought with Mendes up for rent for 18,500 pounds a month. The actress, who won the Best Actress Oscar in 2009 for her performance as a former Nazi concentration camp guard in ‘The Reader’, was previously married to Jim Threapleton, a film director, by whom she had a daughter, Mia, who turns 12 next month. They divorced in 2001 after three years. Rocknroll, who works for his uncle’s space venture Virgin Galactic, changed his surname from Abel Smith by deed poll before he married Pearson in an open-air pagan ceremony led by a druid in September 2009. However, the couple separated after just 20 months. ANI
