Pop career is hard work, says Nicki Minaj

Washington: Nicki Minaj has claimed that being a pop star is as hard work as “running a big top-notch company”.

Despite people having varied ideas about fame, the ‘Starships’ singer insists it’s not easy being a musician and she puts a lot of hours into making her career a success. “It’s a lot of work, a lot of sleepless nights. It’s almost like running a big top-notch company,” Contactmusic quoted her as telling UK TV show ‘Lorraine’. Minaj has just released her second album ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded’ and she says it is an LP that represents what it’s like to be a woman. The 29-year-old rapper, who was the first female artist to have seven singles in the US Billboard Hot 100 at the same time, is extremely proud of the record and has worked very hard on it. “To me it (the album) represents every woman that I’ve ever met. It’s something that applies to every mood and every relationship and every feeling. It’s just I think it’s the best one that I’ve ever done,” she added. ANI
