New Delhi: Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan have taken to Twitter and Facebook to voice their ire with the Delhi gang-rape case in a series of tweets.
The incident spoken of is about the young woman who was gang-raped in a bus in South Delhi on Sunday night while returning from Munirka to Dwarka.
SRK posted 3 back-to-back tweets at 3 am on the 19th of December from his @iamsrk twitter handle after a late night’s work:
“1. We cannot blame a ghastly act as the collective deterioration of the world we live in. It is not an external condition. It’s US!...” (1/3)
“2. It’s US because we make that collective & if we don’t punish the rapists then rightfully we will be punished…soon…” (2/3)
“3. …very soon...when this inhuman crime reaches our homes and families...” (3/3)
Amitabh Bachchan, meanwhile, posted 7 tweets last night a little past midnight and sounded palpably shaken by the incident. He wrote:
