`Suicide Squad` movie on hold: producer Dan Lin

The film adaptation of popular DC comics `The Suicide` is currently on hold.

Los Angeles: The film adaptation of popular DC comics `The Suicide` is currently on hold.
Upcoming film `Gangster Squad` producer Dan Lin has said that Warner Bros will be tackling its major DC comics adaptations before returning to the lesser-known title, reported Collider.
“‘Suicide Squad’ has a script from Justin Marks, but that is on a hold right now. I think Warner Brothers wants to finish their A-list stories first and then we`ll talk about stories like ‘Suicide Squad’," Lin said. Warner`s next comic book movie will be the Zack Snyder-directed ‘Man of Steel’, which will arrive in June 2013. A `Justice League` film is currently scheduled for release in 2015. `Suicide Squad` centres around a government-sponsored group of super-powered convicts who take on dangerous missions in the hope of having their sentences reduced. Lin is also working on ‘Sherlock Holmes 3’, ‘Lego: Piece of Resistance’ and the upcoming ‘Godzilla’ remake. PTI
