Lily Allen turns environment crusader

After saying goodbye to her singing career, popstar Lily Allen has taken it upon herself to save endangered forests.

London: After saying goodbye to her singing career, popstar Lily Allen has taken it upon herself to save endangered forests. The `Not Fair` hitmaker, has turned environment crusader and is currently roughing it out in an eco hut in the Brazilian rainforest, reported Daily Mail online.
Filming a documentary for the World Wildlife Fund, Allen ventured deep into the Amazon rainforest where she bedded down at a environment-friendly guesthouse. The 25-year-old pop singer was visiting the remote state of Acre in northwest Brazil with a filming crew as part of a week-long trip to the country. There they checked out a multi-million pound conservation project being run as a partnership between broadcasters Sky and the WWF. She was given a tour of the `seringais`, areas where latex is harvested from trees in a traditional method, before being taken to a factory where condoms are produced using the local raw material. The team is staying in the very modest Pousada Seringal Cachoeira, where some rooms don`t even have air conditioning. But that didn`t seem to faze Allen as she was pictured relaxing in and around the hut and hanging out with other guests. The singer has recently said she wants to focus on launching a fashion label called Lucy In Disguise with her sister Sarah Owen. PTI
