New Delhi: Chris Gayle is one of the most feared batsmen in world cricket at the moment.

The star left-hander is widely regarded as the most destructive batsman in the T20 format.

Due to the ongoing crisis in the WICB, Gayle and several other big name West Indies players do not represent their country in Tests and ODIs.

But when Gayle started his career, he was a key member of the Windies Test side.

On one occasion, a young Gayle was on the receiving end of a clinical spell from Pakistan legend Wasim Akram.

The left-arm pacer was at his peak, while the Jamaican was still finding his feet at the international stage.

Gayle clearly found the Pakistani pacer too hot to handle and in the process learnt a valuable lesson early on in his Test career.
