Rakesh Roshan and Rakeysh Mehra have a fall-out!

If the latest reports are to be believed, Bollywood director Rakesh Roshan and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra have indulged in a cold war, as the latter recently made a quick exit from Roshan’s upcoming flick ‘Krrish 2’. Grapevine has it that both directors had a fall-out when Mehra got busy with three movies and ignored Roshan’s dream project. Meanwhile, post ‘Delhi 6’, Roshan became insecure about Mehra’s directorial skills.

Mumbai: If the latest reports are to be believed, Bollywood director Rakesh Roshan and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra have indulged in a cold war, as the latter recently made a quick exit from Roshan’s upcoming flick ‘Krrish 2’. Grapevine has it that both directors had a fall-out when Mehra got busy with three movies and ignored Roshan’s dream project. Meanwhile, witnessing the Box Office fate of ‘Delhi 6’, Roshan became insecure about Mehra’s directorial skills for his superhero flick. Talking to a news daily, a source said, “Mehra is busy with three projects. The first movie is a modern take on the Mahabharata, the second one is based on a real-life story of an Indian athlete and the third is a period romance. He hardly has time for anything. But he was approached for ‘Krrish 2’ by Roshan and it seems he had given a nod to the project. Though Roshan had directed ‘Koi…Mil Gaya’ and ‘Krrish’, he wanted someone else to direct this movie as he wanted to concentrate on only being the producer. But things went sour.” The source further added, “They had come to an understanding about ‘Krrish 2’ last year during ‘Delhi 6’ release. But post its failure they did not have any more discussions about ‘Krrish 2.’ In the meantime, Roshan stepped in as the director and began the pre-production work.” When contacted, Mehra was unavailable for comments while Roshan stayed mum on the entire issue.
