‘Zanjeer’ trailer: Watch Ram Charan play a rugged cop!

New Delhi: Filmmaker Apoorva Lakhia- who has earlier helmed action and crime thrillers like ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’ and ‘Mission Istanbul’- is now all set to enthral the audiences with his next -‘Zanjeer’ a remake of namesake 1973 blockbuster. The 2013 version of the film which stars Sanjay Dutt, Priyanka Chopra, Prakash Raj, Mahie Gill, Atul Kulkarni and Ankur Bhatia, will mark the Bollwood debut of Tollywood actor Ram Charan. Son of Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan will reprise the role of Vijay Khanna, originally reprised by megastar Amitabh Bachchan. The dashing actor dons the avatar of a police officer and looks very promising while Priyanka Chopra is at her best as an urban chic. Sanjay Dutt, who plays the iconic character of Sher Khan, will leave you spellbound. The film had been in news right from its inception, over copyright issue. Reportedly there were also differences of opinion between the makers of the film. But with the trailer releasing Thursday, all disputes seem to have been put to rest. All is well that ends well. ‘Zanjeer’ and its Telugu version - ‘Toofan 2013’ are scheduled to hit the theatres on September 6, 2013. Check out the trailer of the movie.
