New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan on Saturday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for canceling legal tender character of old series of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes in order to check the menace of terror financing through counterfeit currency notes. 

According to a TOI report, during the weekend episode of popular Indian television reality show 'Bigg Boss 10', the 50-year-old host said, "iss hafte kaale dhan par dhanaadan vaar padi. It is a fantastic move and hats off to Modi ji.. (I salute Narendra Modi's move to curb black money)."

"Mere khud ke 4 hazar ke note aur six, 500 k notes atak gaye hai kyunki main Hong Kong mein tha... par koi baat nahi.. main agle do-teen din mein bank jaake cash karwa loonga. (Though even I am facing issues as I have Four thousand notes and Six 500 notes are of no use now as I was in Hong Kong when the policy was announced, but it doesn't matter. I will go to the bank in next 2/3 days and get it replaced)," the 'Wanted' hunk added.
