Katy Perry makes first appearance after split at friend’s charity show

London: Katy Perry seems to have decided to move on with life after her split from Russell Brand, as she made her first public appearance by turning up for a charity event in Las Vegas.

The 27-year-old singer showed up to support her jewellery designer friend Markus Molinari on Friday. She looked stunning as she posed for pictures with her pal at The Mirage Hotel’s new 1oak nightclub in Sin City. She wore a snug embellished mini-dress and sexy, sky-high stiletto sandals. The outfit was fairly mundane compared to her usual ensembles, but her Smurf-blue hair added more than enough colour to balance out the rest of her look. Perry did not add any extra accoutrements to her outfit aside from a small, simple pair of earrings. Even fellow guest Paris Hilton noticed how lovely the singer looked, and commented on it via Twitter. “Katy Perry looking gorgeous across the room,” the Daily Mail quoted Hilton as writing. “Love her hair & dress! Stunning!” Katy seemed keen to show the world that she is ready to move on from her 14-month marriage. Her happy smile was the only accessory necessary at the fundraising event for actress Patricia Arquette’s charity website, GiveLove.org. “Happy to be supporting my best friend @MDMOLINARI & his j.molinari jewelry w/all my other besties in #VEGAS for a great cause @GiveLoveOrg,” Perry tweeted. Having a close friend on hand was all the support Perry needed, as she and Molinari strolled hand in hand down the red carpet. ANI
