Recipe: 3 Layered Sandwich

Ingredients:

For the 3 Layered Sandwich:
Bread – 4 slices
Butter – 10 gms
Mexican Sauce – 70 gms, Layer 1
Russian Salad – 100 gms, Layer 2
Chutney – 30 gms, Layer 3
    
For the Mexican Sauce, Layer 1

Boiled Tomatoes – 500 gms (fine paste)
Onion – 100 gms
Garlic – 30 gms
Green Chilli – 15 gms
Black Cumin Seeds (Jeera) – 3 gms
Basil Leaves – 2 gms
Oregano Herb – 2 gms
Tomato ketchup – 60 gms
Sugar – 5 gms
Salt – 10 gms
Oil – 50 gms

Method:

Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, green chillies, garlic, onion (chopped), tomato paste, basil  leaves, oregano & sauté till brownish red. Then add sugar & salt and tomato ketchup & bring to a boil.

For the Russian Salad,  Layer 2

Kasundi Mustard Sauce – 100 gms
Mayonnaise (Eggless) – 500 gms
Powdered Sugar – 30 gms
Cucumber – 300 gms
Green Peas – 250 gms
Carrots – 200 gms

Finely cut the cucumber (julienne cut) & carrots (diamond cut) & boil it with the green peas. Let the veggies cool down. Then add the mustard sauce, mayonnaise & sugar to the veggies.

For the Chutney, Layer 3
Black Cumin Seeds (Jeera) – 2 gms
Coriander – 100 gms
Mint Leaves (Pudina) – 25 gms
Lemon Juice – 20 gms
Onion – 50 gms
Ginger – 10 gms
Garlic – 15 gms
Green Chilli – 15 gms
Water – 150 gms

Grind all the ingredients together in a mixer to prepare fresh chutney.
