Neither Alia Bhatt nor Vaani Kapoor but THIS actress to play leading lady 'Thugs Of Hindostan'

New Delhi: It was only a few months back that Yash Raj Films had announced their forthcoming film titled 'Thugs of Hindostan' that has two big names on board - Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan - together for the very first time.

Helmed by writer-director Vijay Krishna Acharya, the film is yet to finalise its lead actress.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, Alia Bhatt was initially suggested for the lead actress' role but, nothing was officially confirmed.

Later, there was a buzz that producer Aditya Chopra wanted to cast 'Befikre' actress Vaani Kapoor even in this venture. But, Vaani reportedly failed to impress Mr Perfectionist and hence the makers continued their hunt for a fresh face.

If rumours are to be believed then the popular TV actress Mrunal Thakur has bagged the role of the leading lady opposite Aamir.

However, the makers of the film haven't spoken about it yet.
