OMI's 'Cheerleader' knocks Wiz Khalifa's 'Furious 7' single to top UK single charts

London: Jamaican born singer OMI's debut single ' Cheerleader' has knocked off Wiz Khalifa's ' Furious 7' single 'See You Again' to grab the top spot on UK music charts.

The Jamaican reggae singer climbed to the top of the singles charts shifting just over 1,000 copies more than his nearest rival Khalifa and Charlie Put's single, the Independent reported.

The reggae-pop track, remixed by Felix Jaehn entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart dated May 9, 2015 at number 95.

Canadian singer Jepsen, whose 2012 hit 'Call Me Maybe' has sold more than a million copies in the UK, finished at number three with her track 'I Really Like You'.

Australian rapper Iggy Azalea scored her fifth UK top 10 single with 'Trouble', featuring Jennifer Hudson.
