Lily Allen`s hit song inspired by grandmother

London, Feb 19: British singer Lily Allen was inspired by her grandmother`s death, to achieve something positive and she credits her as the force behind her hit album,`It`s Not Me, It`s You`. Allen believes that the hit record which is at the number 1 spot on UK charts, is a result of the heartache she suffered at losing her grandmother last year, Contactmusic reported.

Allen said, "A lot of people I knew died last year. My grandmother passed away so it was a really tough year. But in the end I got an album out of it. I was able to be creative and achieve something." Allen has silenced her critics with the success of her album, after a year where she was in news for her fashion choices and drug habits.
