Shakira set to join Hollywood Walk of Fame

Washington: Shakira’s legacy will live on indefinitely in Hollywood when she will be honoured with a star on its Walk of Fame on Nov 8.

The Colombian superstar will have her name cemented in the legendary walkway, just a day before receiving the ‘Person of the Year’ award as part of the 2011 Latin Grammy’s ceremony for her philanthropic contributions. Christina Aguilera and Penélope Cruz are other Latinas, who have a star in the Walk of Fame. The ceremony will take place across the street from the W Hollywood Hotel in the popular Hollywood and Vine corner, Fox News reported. The 34-year-old singer will also become the youngest person to ever be honoured at the upcoming ‘Person of the Year’ event of the Latin Grammy’s, in Las Vegas. ANI
