Girl loses hearing in passionate kiss!

An excessively passionate kiss has rendered a young girl partially deaf.

Beijing, Dec 08: An excessively passionate kiss has rendered a young Chinese girl partially deaf.The 20-something girl from Zhuhai in southern China`s Guangdong Province was brought to hospital completely deaf in her left ear soon after her eardrum was ruptured in the painful pucker, which has been dubbed as the "kiss of deaf" by the local media.

"The woman`s hearing would likely return to normal after about two months," an ear specialist from Zhuhai Second People`s Hospital, the China Daily quoted Dr Li as saying. "The inner ear is connected to the mouth through a tube, whose chief function is to equalize the pressure between the two," Li said. "In this case, the kiss reduced the pressure in the mouth, pulled the eardrum out and caused the breakdown of the ear," he added. Although, kissing is normally safe, doctors advise people to proceed with caution. Bureau Report
