Chennai: The makers of actor Karthi-starrer Tamil romantic-drama "Kashmora" claim theirs is the first Indian film to use a 360-degree omni-directional camera rig for shooting a particular sequence.
"It is a multiple camera rig with a 360-degree field of view in the horizontal plane, or with a visual field that covers (approximately) the entire sphere. Omnidirectional cameras are important in areas where large visual field coverage is needed, such as in panoramic photography," he said.
According to a source from the film's unit, this camera is being used to shoot the introductory song in the movie along with some action scenes.
The film also features Nayantara and Sri Divya in important roles.
