Eating disorder continues to plague Sharon

Washington: Sharon Osbourne has still not gotten over the eating disorder that has plagued her since she was a teenager.Sharon, 56, has struggled with bulimia and compulsive eating for years and thinks she will always feel insecure about gaining extra pounds in spite of having been able to keep her weight under check after undergoing a gastric band surgery in 1999.

"If I`m honest, I don`t think I`ll ever be totally free from that. It`s much more under control but food for me will never be easy," Contactmusic quoted her saying. Sharon even admitted to turning to food whenever she is distressed. "I used it (food) as a shield. It was a way to fend off rejection: you`ll never want me, look how fat I am. I`ll be the fat, funny one," she added. ANI
