Metallica`s lead singer wants dignified Hall of Fame induction

Metallica lead singer James Hetfield wants to invite every musician who ever played on their albums to join them if they get inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009. Contactmusic.com reports that Hetfield has also agreed to let bygones be bygones with former band mate Jason Newsted if they get inducted. He doesn`t want the occasion to be a farce. He revealed he was uncomfortable when the group Blondie were inducted in 2006 and the band mates started bickering onstage.

Hetfield says: "There`s no reason for it to be weird. We don`t want to be part of the soap opera of the Hall of Fame. Everybody wants to see a train wreck, like with Blondie onstage arguing over c.... That really cheapens the moment."
