A 17-year-old girl was allegedly set on fire by her male friend following an altercation at her residence in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

Hyderabad: A 17-year-old girl was allegedly set on fire by her male friend following an altercation at her residence in Hyderabad on Tuesday.
Te accused boy was also injured in the incident.
According to ANI, the girl suffered severe burns due to the incident after which she was immediately rushed to the Osmania General Hospital.

The girl suffered 70 percent burns and her condition is said to be serious, the police said.
In her complaint, the victim said that the boy was known to her.
Narrating the whole incident, the girl said they had an argument at her residence and, in a fit of rage, the boy set her ablaze by pouring kerosene on her.
Both are minors, police said, adding, a case of attempt to murder has been registered.
