Jammu: Security agencies foiled an attempt of Pakistan's Border Action Team (BAT) on Sunday evening. Three jawans were injured in the incident.
At 1725 hours, security forces observed suspicious movement was close to an Indian post, 100 metres towards the Line of Control (LoC).
The BAT team opened fire on the post. One Rocket-propelled grenade or RPG was also fired towards the post.
Three jawans sustained minor injuries and have been admitted to the hospital, said news agency ANI.
The body of a heavily-armed Pakistani intruder was later recovered. Four RPGs were also recovered.
The body was recovered during a search and sanitisation operation launched after the Army foiled an attempt by a group of terrorists to intrude into this side in Khari Karmara sector yesterday evening, the official said.
The Pakistan Army initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing yesterday along the LoC in Poonch to facilitate an infiltration attempt by a group of terrorists.
