A major tragedy was averted at the Bagdogra on Tuesday when a Spice Jet flight landed at the airport with a nose wheel tyre burst.

Bagdogra: A major tragedy was averted at Bagdogra on Tuesday when a Spice Jet flight landed at the airport with nose wheel tyre burst.

Flight 623 was travelling from Kolkata to Bagdogra, which is located about 16 km west of the city of Siliguri.

The incident occurred at while landing at 2.19 pm.

Airport sources said standard procedures were followed and two engines and three ambulances were rushed to the plane but there were no damages or injuries, as per PTI.

All the 198 passengers and crew aboard the flight are safe, Airport director Rakesh Sahai said, 'all passengers offloaded from exit taxi way'.
