Minor arrested for raping mentally ill girl in Panaji

Panaji: A 16-year old boy has been arrested for allegedly raping a 21-year-old mentally deranged

girl living in his neighbourhood here, police said on Wednesday.

The incident happened at Divar Island locality when the girl was alone at her house yesterday, they said.

Following the incident, the boy was arrested by Old Goa police station and later sent to a juvenile remand home.

Details of the case are yet to be disclosed by police.
