First International Children Film Festival in Lucknow

As many as 160 movies from 27 countries will be screened during the first international children`s film festival here which will be attended by eight-year-old Pinki, the star of the Oscar winning film `Smile Pinki`.

Lucknow, April 01: As many as 160 movies from 27 countries will be screened during the first international children`s film festival here which will be attended by eight-year-old Pinki, the star of the Oscar winning film `Smile Pinki`.
"For the first time an international film festival specifically for children is being organised in the city, in which the 160 best films of 27 countries will be screened,"
chairman International Children Film Festival (ICFF) Jagdish Gandhi told reporters here. Gandhi said that several international film directors and producers, including Pinki of Oscar winning film Smile Pinki will also attend the seven-day festival which begins on April 9. He said that the film festival was organised on the theme of world unity and peace. "We believe that this international film festival would motivate students, youths and parents towards objectivity and meaningful films and globalise their attitude and thoughts," he said. Films from USA, UK, Germany, Italy, France, Netherlands, Canada, Austria, South Korea, Ireland, Latvia, Serbia, Holland, Mauritius, Bulgaria, Lithuania, China, Talin Estonia and Iran will be screened during the film festival. "The best Indian films from Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Goa, Hyderabad and Rajasthan will also be screened," he said. Bureau Report
