Mumbai, April 23: In the game of love, B-town hottie Ranbir Kapoor and his beloved Deepika Padukone’s affair has reportedly hit a rough patch! Deepika has been under the scrutiny of Ranbir’s family for quite sometime now, and mum Neetu Kapoor has dubbed the long legged beauty as a mere friend of her son Ranbir. Yet, being exceptionally good actors, both Ranbir and Deepika are keeping their turbulent love life under wraps and are not showing any signs of discomforts. According to a close friend of the couple, ‘‘Last week Deepika was to join Ranbir to attend ‘Dostana’ director Tarun Mansukhani`s birthday party at late night. Since she got stuck due to her work commitments (shooting of Excel Entertainment`s ‘Kartik Calling Kartik’), Ranbir told her he would go alone to the party. But despite telling her so, he didn`t go. Instead he chose to attend another party where his ‘Saawariya’ co-star Sonam Kapoor and her good friend Kunal Kapoor were present. He didn`t tell this to Deepika who was well under the impression for days that he was at Tarun`s party. The birthday party saw new love birds Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra making an entry and exit together publicly for the first time. John Abraham and Bipasha Basu too came in for the bash.” “When Deepika came to know about Ranbir`s lie, it is learnt that she lambasted him over the phone while he kept giving her excuses how it was all a last minute change in his plan etc,” the source added. A few days back, Ranbir’s sister Riddhima told a news daily, “They make a good on-screen pair and their chemistry is fine. Off screen I’ve never seen them together in that sense, so I don’t go by the media reports.” According to the latest B-town news, with Ranbir’s growing proximity with ‘Ajab Prem ki Gazab Kahani’ co-actor Katrina Kaif, it seems Deepika’s days are numbered!
