Guwahati: A 5.5 magnitude earthquake hit Myanmar-India border region at 7:11 AM Tuesday morning.

The India Meterological Department (IMD) confirmed that mild tremors were felt in Assam.

The IMD said 3.1 magnitude earthquake struck Karbi Anglong district in Assam at 5:30 am this morning.

Fortunately, there were no reports of injuries or fatalities.
