Full dress rehearsal of International Yoga Day celebrations held at Rajpath

New Delhi: A full-dress rehearsal of Sunday's International Yoga Day event was held at Rajpath here on Friday morning.

Thousands of school children, members of the armed forces, National Cadet Corps (NCC), government officials and yoga enthusiasts performed prescribed asanas ahead of the main event to be held on June 21.

The main event would see the participation of over 35, 000 people.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also take part in the event and address the gathering before kickstarting it on Sunday.

Elaborate security arrangements have been made, with around 3,000 police and 1500 traffic police personnel, and paramilitary forces providing cover for the event.
