Three per cent DA hike for central govt employees

New Delhi, Mar 31: The Centre tonight hiked by three per cent Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief for its employees and pensioners involving an additional financial outgo of Rs 1091.70 crore a year.
The increase from 52 to 55 per cent will be effective from January 1 this year, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj told reporters after a meeting of the Union Cabinet.
