4-year-old girl raped by 50-year-old neighbour in Uttar Pradesh

A four-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a neighbour in Masuri area, police said.

Ghaziabad: A four-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a neighbour in Masuri area here, police said on Monday.

The 50-year-old accused, identified as Ilyas, lured the victim on pretext of giving chocolates. He then took her to his house and raped her. When the victim`s mother heard her screams, she reached his house, following which Ilyas fled from the spot. The accused has been booked under the IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POSCO) Act, police said adding, efforts are on to nab him.
