FIR filed against school after 4-yr-old student`s death

Ghaziabad: A case of causing death due to negligence was on Friday registered against a school whose student, four-year-old Sunny, died after falling into an open drain while playing outside its premises.

The school management has been charged under section 304(A) of the IPC (causing death due to negligence) following a complaint by Sunny`s father Vinod Kumar at Indirapuram police station, police said.

Sunny was playing outside the premises of the private school yesterday when he fell into an open drain in Sector 16 of Vasundra area. The boy`s body was later fished out by rescue workers from the drain.
