History-sheeter shot dead in UP's Badaun, tension prevails in the area

Badaun (UP): A history-sheeter was today shot dead and two others injured by unidentified persons over old enmity in Chhoti Sarai locality in Sadar area here, following which tension prevailed in the area, police said.

Some unidentified persons surrounded the history-sheeter Naeem Turk alias Rajawas and opened fire at him indiscriminately, killing him on the spot over past enmity, Superintendent of Police (city) Anil Kumar Yadav said.

In the incident, two passersby Imran and Ranu were also injured, Yadav said.

They were rushed to a hospital, where their condition is stated to be stable.

Heavy police force has been deployed in the area, where tension is prevailing, the SP said, adding that situation is in control.
