Locals pelt stones at police team for arresting riot accused

Muzaffarnagar: Irate locals, including women, pelted stones at a police party to protest the arrest of a riot accused in a village of the district.

A police team had gone to Mohadpur Raisingh village last evening to arrest Anil Kumar in a case related to last year`s riots when villagers pelted stones at them, an official said. However, no one was hurt, he added. Kumar is currently in police custody.
