Kolkata: The police on Thursday removed a group
of madrasa teachers and non-teaching staff who demonstrated
and threatened to go on indefinite fast, before the central
gate of the state secretariat, Writers` Building.
The demonstrators were demanding immediate appointment
of teachers and non-teaching staff in MSKs and SSKs under the
Minority Affairs department.

non-teaching staff in 139 MSKs and SSKs, including 55
madrasas, in the state, they alleged.
