Ottawa: Six passengers were injured on Monday during an emergency evacuation of their Canadian WestJet flight, which was diverted to Winnipeg following a "threat."
After landing, six passengers were injured while exiting the aircraft "during the emergency evacuation," WestJet said.
The airline reported 54 passengers and 5 crew members were evacuated from the aircraft.
This is the second incident of its kind in three days for WestJet. A Halifax to Edmonton flight was recently diverted following a report of an explosive device on the 737 with 153 people on board. No device was found.
