Kate is pregnant with her first child and thinks she is expecting a girl.

London: Hollywood actress Kate Hudson, who is pregnant with her first child with rocker Matt Bellamy, thinks she is expecting a baby girl.

The `Bride Wars` star has done a "pendulum test" which indicates the sex of the unborn child, and the result has convinced her that she is having a girl, reported Contactmusic. "So here`s the pendulum test. You take a piece of hair and you take a ring, and you string it through - this is very witchy of me! And then what you do is you hold it over your stomach. And then if it moves in a circle, it`s a girl and if it goes back and forth its a boy," said Hudson. The 31-year-old beauty demonstrated the result on Entertainment Tonight, where the pendulum is seen swinging in a circle, and added she has had no dreams about the sex of the child, unlike with her seven-year-old son Ryder from ex-husband Chris Robinson. However, Hudson claimed she will not be disappointed if the baby is a boy because Ryder would be excited to have a brother. "If the baby comes out a boy - to see the look on Ryder`s face to have a brother? I mean, forget it!" PTI
