Nawazuddin Siddiqui's mother named in '100 Most Influential Women In The World', actor shares candid pic

New Delhi: Class actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui is par excellence when it comes to his craft. Over past few years, he has emerged as one of the most powerful actors that Hindi film industry can boast of having.

But not many are aware of the fact that behind this very successful man happens to be his mother, Mehroonisa Siddiqui, who has been named as one of the '100 Most Influential Women In The World' list by BBC.

A proud son took to Twitter and shared a picture with his mother too. He captioned the image as “A Lady who showed courage against all odds being in a conservative Family from a small village-My Mother #100MostInfluentialWomenInTheWorld.”

It really happens to be a moment of pride for Nawaz. Others in the list include Indian women's cricket team captain Mithali Raj, social entrepreneur Dr Urvashi Sahni, Nitya Thummalachetty, who is a women's rights activist and educationist.
