LIC IPO: Price band, subscription dates, discount for employees, policyholders -- 6 important points

LIC IPO price band has been fixed between Rs 902 and Rs 949. The lower price band is Rs 902 while the higher price band is Rs 949.

LIC IPO will open on May 2 for anchor investors. Public investors will be able to bid for the offer starting May 4. The last day to bid for the LIC IPO is May 9,  2022.

LIC IPO is going to be India’s largest IPO. As of now, Paytm’s 18,300 crore initial offer remains the largest in India’s stock market. This is despite the fact that the government has cut down the size of the offer.

The Central government had earlier planned to mop up about Rs 60,000 crore via LIC IPO. However, the issue will now help the government rake in about Rs 21,000 crore by selling 3.5%.  

The insurer will reserve 2.2 crore shares for its policyholders while 0.15 crore shares have been reserved for the company’s employees. 

Employees and policyholders who plan to bid for the reserved shares can get a price band discount of Rs 45 and Rs 60, respectively.
